Choose the right document
Resume versus CV
A resume is usually concise and tailored to a role. A CV is broader and may include deeper academic, research, teaching, or professional history. Choose Resume for focused applications and CV when a fuller record is expected.
What does ATS mean?
ATS means Applicant Tracking System: software that helps employers organize and search applications. Clear headings, readable structure, and relevant plain-language terms help a document remain machine-readable.
Starting profiles
Fresher / Graduate is intended for early-career experience and education. Experienced Professional is intended for established roles, delivery, and leadership scope.
Current templates
- ATS Standard: clear structured applications.
- Fresher / Graduate: early-career experience and education.
- Professional: balanced established experience.
- Technical Engineer: projects, skills, and delivery.
- Enterprise: formal complex experience and leadership.
- Professional CV: broader academic and professional context.
Page size: choose A4 for common international use or US Letter for United States and Canada workflows.
Private, unlisted, and public
Private is owner-only. Unlisted uses a bearer link at /resume/share/{resume-uuid}/{token}; anyone with it can view the selected immutable snapshot. Rotate or revoke an exposed link.
Public uses /{username}/resume/{resume-slug}. It requires an active verified account, public profile, valid username, and valid document selection. Public indexing stops automatically when eligibility changes; unlisted pages are always noindex.
Autosave, revisions, and assistance
The builder shows Saving, Saved, Unsaved, Error, and Conflict states. Each changed save creates one immutable revision. If another tab saves first, the stale tab receives a conflict notice and must reload the authoritative version before trying again. Validation, conflict, and rate-limit responses are not silently retried.
Revision history, duplication, archive/recovery, and explicit sharing preserve the private-by-default boundary. Writing assistance is currently unavailable because no provider is active; no content is transmitted. A future suggestion must be explicitly reviewed before acceptance, expires from the review list, and never rewrites the document automatically.
Keyboard and accessibility
Use labeled controls and visible focus outlines to move sections or entries, hide/show content, review status announcements, and confirm destructive actions. The editor reflows on mobile and at zoom; print surfaces omit application navigation and owner controls.
Operations and retention
Authorized Superadmins can view safe aggregate resume operations and withdraw exposure, revoke an unlisted token, disable indexing/downloads, or remove featuring with a reason. They cannot view private content or change documents. Scheduled cleanup is bounded, supports dry-run, preserves active and in-recovery documents, and minimizes or removes only eligible records.
Common troubleshooting
- If a document does not appear, confirm you are signed in to its owner account and have verified your email.
- If a slug is rejected, use lowercase letters, numbers, and single hyphens.
- If a control is disabled, it belongs to a planned builder phase and has not been enabled prematurely.
- For account or access problems, use the general Help & Support page.
